1. Purpose and Scope
This document establishes the general
conditions governing the use, contracting, and operation of the automated
locker service offered by Sherry Lockers Consignas through the website
www.sherrylockersconsignas.com. Its purpose is to ensure the safe, orderly, and
transparent use of the lockers, as well as to define the rights and obligations
of both the company and the users. Use of the service implies full acceptance
of these conditions.
These conditions are accepted by both
parties, who acknowledge that they may be modified at any time without prior
notice. Therefore, the User must review them whenever a booking is made, as the
conditions in effect on the date of the contract will apply to the contracted
service.
If any changes affect bookings that have
already been confirmed, the affected Users will be notified by email.
2. Description of the Service
The Company offers a temporary rental
service for one or more lockers for the temporary storage of luggage or
personal belongings through smart lockers located in Jerez de la Frontera.
Bookings are made exclusively through the official website, and the service
allows Users to store their belongings during the contracted period, thereby
facilitating their mobility around the city.
The Company may exercise the right of
admission and manage operational conditions in the event of incidents.
3. Locker Types and Prices
The service offers different locker sizes
depending on the location:
• Medium (M): 36.8 (height) x 47.4 (width)
x 58 (depth) cm
• Large (L): 46.2 (height) x 47.4 (width) x
58 (depth) cm
• Extra Large (XL): 84.6 (height) x 47.4
(width) x 58 (depth) cm
The User is responsible for ensuring that
the dimensions are suitable for their luggage or belongings before completing
the booking.
Prices are displayed on the website for
each locker size. They include VAT and may be subject to discounts or
occasional promotions.
Use of the lockers requires payment of the
amount indicated at the time of booking, in accordance with the applicable rate
based on the chosen service.
Payment must be made by bank card or
another method available on the payment gateway. The charge is applied at the
time of booking, and it will not be considered valid until payment is duly
authorised.
4. Bookings and Access
The booking process is completed online by
selecting the number and size of lockers, the usage period, accepting the terms
and conditions, and providing truthful personal information required to
finalise the process.
The User must make the payment online and
will receive an email with the booking confirmation afterwards, as well as a
unique code that allows access to the premises through the keypad at the
entrance and must also be entered on the locker screen to open the assigned
locker.
Each code is personal and non-transferable.
5. Duration of Use and Access
The User may rent the locker for blocks of
6, 12, 24, or 48 hours through the website. If the User wishes to book for
longer than 48 hours, they have two options: extend the booking before it
expires using the link provided in the confirmation email or contact the
Company at info@sherrylockersconsignas.com.
During the contracted period, the User may
open and close their locker as many times as needed.
At the end of the booking period, the User
must retrieve their belongings before the deadline. If the User exceeds the
time limit, once the locker is opened to collect belongings and the screen
confirms that it is the final use, they will no longer be able to open and
close the locker. A new booking must be made to use a locker again. Bookings cancelled
due to improper system use (cancelled by the User before the booked period
ends) are not considered system failures.
6. Proper Use of the Lockers
The User agrees to:
• Use only the assigned locker.
• Not overload or force the mechanism.
• Ensure the locker is properly closed.
• Use the service responsibly and in
accordance with regulations.
• Leave the lockers at the end of the
service in the same condition in which they were found.
• Notify Sherry Lockers of any issues
detected in the locker or its condition at info@sherrylockersconsignas.com.
7. Prohibited Items (the Company may remove
prohibited items and report the User)
Prohibited items include:
• Dangerous, flammable, illegal, or toxic
items.
• Items whose possession requires a
license, without such license or authorization.
• Perishable or improperly packaged food.
• Animals or living beings.
• Open liquids or substances prone to
spilling.
• Items valued over €1,000 (Sherry Lockers
is not responsible for the loss of items exceeding €1,000 or those not covered
by the insurance policy stated in clause 15).
8. User Responsibility
The User is responsible for the proper use
of the premises, furniture, locker, and deposited items.
They must not share their access code with
third parties.
Any damage caused to the locker or premises
due to misuse will be attributable to the User, who must bear repair or
replacement costs.
The User guarantees the accuracy of all
provided information.
9. Operating Hours
Lockers are available 24 hours a day. The
User must have the access code provided in the booking confirmation email.
10. Incidents and Support
In the event of a technical failure,
blockage, or anomaly, the User must contact the official support channels
indicated in the premises or on the website.
The Company will work to resolve the issue
as soon as possible.
11. Modifications, Cancellations, and
Refunds
• Booking extensions are possible online
before the booked period expires, using the link received with the confirmation
of the booking.
• It is not possible to extend the booking once
it has expired. In such cases, the User may only retrieve belongings and pay
the penalty at the locker terminal by card.
• Cancellations are only possible if
requested at least 24 hours in advance or if there is a technical failure
attributable to the Company.
• Refunds: If the cancellation meets the
requirements, the amount will be refunded on the next business day following
notification.
• Time changes or extensions may only be
made if the system allows and there is availability. Sherry Lockers does not
guarantee refunds if the requirements are not met.
12. Overtime, Locker Release, and Abandoned
Items
If the User does not retrieve their
belongings at the end of the contracted period, the Company may:
• Block the locker or access it to release
the space.
• Store abandoned items for up to 14 days
and subsequently apply a penalty equal to twice the hourly excess rate.
• Consider items abandoned if not claimed
within that period and proceed with disposal or delivery to the competent
authority.
13. Management of Uncollected Items
• Notification: The Company will notify the
User, if possible.
• Custody: Items will be stored for up to
14 days.
• Delivery to Authorities: After that
period, items will be delivered to the local authority.
• Exceptions: Hazardous, perishable, or
unsuitable items will not be accepted.
14. Security and Surveillance
The facilities have security and
surveillance systems to ensure the integrity of stored belongings. However, the
Company is not responsible for losses or damages beyond its control. The
service is unattended and automated, which the User accepts.
15. Limitation of Liability
Sherry Lockers offers a locker rental
service and is not responsible for:
• Custody of items placed in the lockers.
• Loss, theft, or damage except in cases of
gross negligence.
• User failure to comply with these terms.
Lockers are not safe-deposit boxes and are
not intended for storing high-value items.
In the event of theft, Sherry Lockers has
an insurance policy covering losses up to €1,000. To receive this benefit,
Users must comply with the policy conditions and file a police report.
The insurance does not cover loss of money,
jewellery, precious stones or metals, watches, screens, technological devices,
artworks, antiques, memory cards, or data storage devices.
